joint family problems

A Brief Description of the Question:
I was living in joint family with
my husband
from the last 1 year but now we
become seperate
because of some reasons.
my husband ordered me just to
do his personal
work and not of his
brothers.secondly
my mother in law always interfere
into our
personal matters and quarrel on
miner
issues.My mother in law want me
to obey her
not to my husband.so that for the
peace of mind
my husband decices to live
seperate.I want to
ask did we do anything wrong ?

You have made the right decision by obeying your husband because your husband’s decisions are of first priority than his family’s. Since there will be no peace there, it is not a sin that you leave. However, you should not make the mistake of not speaking with your husband’s family. You should pay attention to the criteria of affection and respect in human relations.
